The IoT Solution Engineer is part of the Technical Sales team and creates IoT connectivity solution designs using Vodafone’s global IoT network and management platform to enterprise customers within Italy and the broader Southern Europe Region.
Role Description
As IoT Solution Engineer, you will apply your detailed technical knowhow in cellular communications and telecoms network technology to design and implement connectivity solutions for enterprise customers for many different IoT applications and industries. You will work hand in hand with Solution Architects in the team to design solutions based on Vodafone’s managed connectivity and IoT solution portfolio. You will support customers a pre-sales stage through implementation and deployment, and make sure the solution is appropriately tested and signed off. Primarily desk-based to start with, you will have opportunities to engage increasingly direct with the customer and grow into a Solution Architect’s role over time.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with Solution Architects and Technical Delivery teams in pre-sales, design, and implementation phases
Learn about and become a technical expert of Vodafone’s IoT network and solutions.
Design appropriate network connectivity and backend integration solutions., in line with customer’s existing systems and stated requirements
You may be asked to support workshops with customers and internal experts to work out optimal solutions and generate customer satisfaction
Support the sales process as technical expert from pre-sales and qualification stages, through RFP / bid and contract sign-up, all the way to implementation, deployment and successful acceptance testing and sign-off
Produce and maintain technical documentation conversant with the requirements of the customer and the capability of the business, and achieve customer technical solution approval
Support solution architects, technical teams, and customers during deployments, testing, in-life during new feature deployments, and manage technical change requests
